The national Firewise USA® recognition program helps neighbors in a community work together to organize, plan, and take steps to make their homes and neighborhoods more fire-resistant. Communities that meet certain voluntary requirements each year and maintain “In Good Standing” status can officially call themselves a Firewise® Site.
