MFSC is working with the Lake City community to restore and expand a community fuel break, originally established by the BLM in 2006, to current CAL FIRE standards. Environmental review for the full project area is on track to wrap up by the end of September, funded through the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Regional Forest and Fire Capacity Program.
