Firewise USA® Communities

Neighbors Working Together for Fire Safety

The Firewise USA® recognition program, developed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), helps communities come together to reduce wildfire risk. By organizing, planning, and taking practical steps, neighbors make their homes and neighborhoods more fire‑resistant.

Each year, communities that meet the program’s voluntary requirements and maintain “In Good Standing” status earn official recognition as a Firewise® Site. This designation reflects a shared commitment to wildfire preparedness and community resilience.
